Thank you for choosing Texpeak ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), an on-device speech-to-text (ASR) and text-to-speech (TTS) application for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Texpeak handles information when you use the App. By installing or using Texpeak, you agree to the practices described below.
Texpeak is designed on a privacy-by-design, on-device-only principle. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal data or user information. Specifically:
Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You retain full and exclusive control over all content generated or stored by the App on your device.
All core functionality of Texpeak — including automatic speech recognition (ASR), text-to-speech synthesis (TTS), and any related processing — runs entirely locally on your device. Your audio and text never leave your device as a result of using these features.
Texpeak does not communicate with any proprietary servers operated by us or by any third party for the purpose of processing your content. The App makes no network requests to third-party services, advertising networks, analytics providers, or cloud AI providers.
Sole exception — In-App Purchases: If you choose to purchase a subscription or other in-app product, the App interacts with Apple's StoreKit framework solely to process that transaction. This interaction is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or billing information; we only receive from Apple the minimum transaction status necessary to unlock the features you purchased.
Texpeak may offer an optional iCloud synchronization feature so that your data (such as transcripts, saved audio, or settings) can sync across your own Apple devices. If you enable this feature:
iCloud sync is off by default unless you explicitly enable it.
Texpeak does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). Because the App collects no personal data at all, it is suitable for users of all ages in this respect.
Since all data remains on your device, the security of that data depends primarily on the security of your device and your Apple ID. We recommend that you keep your iOS device updated, use a strong passcode or biometric lock, and enable two-factor authentication on your Apple ID.
Aside from Apple's StoreKit (for in-app purchases) and, optionally, Apple iCloud (if you enable sync), Texpeak does not integrate with or send data to any third-party service.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including in connection with new versions or features of the App. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this Policy and make the updated Policy available within the App and/or on our website. Material changes will be brought to your attention through reasonable means, such as an in-app notice. Your continued use of Texpeak after an updated Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
